A Night of Sketch Comedy and Auctions Benefit MoCo Arts Tuition Assistance at LIGHTS. CAMERA. KEENE!

(Keene, NH)  – MoCo Arts’ highly anticipated Signature Fundraising event LIGHTS. CAMERA. KEENE! returns on October 24th for a night of sketch comedy, food, and fun. All proceeds from the evening benefit tuition assistance and year-round arts education program.
In its fourth year, LIGHTS. CAMERA. KEENE! is going ‘retro’ with an hour long madcap musical revue featuring skits, commercials and classic characters from years gone by. The performance kicks off at 7:00pm and features sketches from the Brady Bunch, I Love Lucy, The Carol Burnett Show, and more.
Notable appearances include Dr. Anne Huot, President of Keene State College and Dr. Alicia Harvey Smith, President of River Valley Community College as members of a classic TV country family. Mayor Kendall Lane appears as a famous donut baker and Eli Rivera and Senator Molly Kelly pair up as a hilarious TV couple. Many community members from local veterinarian and dentist offices, banks and local businesses also make appearances during this retro themed performance.
Following the show guests and performers are invited across the street to the Courtyard by Marriott for hors d’oeuvres, dessert, auctions, dancing, cash bar, and more. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on exciting items including vacation homes, original artwork, New England sports tickets and a chance to see the Boston Ballet live with a behind-the-scenes tour. If you cannot attend the event and would like to place a bid, contact MoCo Arts to place a proxy bid.
“The funds raised at LIGHTS. CAMERA. KEENE! benefit the Tuition Assistance program, allowing more local children to benefit from all that MoCo has to offer – dance, theatre, music, live performances, new friendships and so much more,” says Mary Delisle, a member of the MoCo Arts Board of Directors portraying Carol Brady during the performance. “I am looking forward to experiencing what we ask our students to do every day, get out of my comfort zone and challenging myself.”
