The Apple Hill String Quartet Performs in Peterborough

The Apple Hill String Quartet will present their annual spring concert in Bass Hall at the Monadnock Center for History and Culture in Peterborough, NH on Saturday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m.

Guest artists Peggy Pearson, oboe, and Jury Kobayashi-Baxter, bass, join the quartet in a program that includes Haydn’s Symphony No. 102 in B-flat Major –  “The Miracle”,  Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 10 in E-flat Major, Op. 74 – “The Harp”, and the world premiere of Yi Yiing Chen’s “Trekking through memories”.

The Apple Hill String Quartet has earned accolades from around the world for their interpretive mastery of such traditional repertoire as Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, Beethoven, and Ravel — along with their special dedication to seldom heard masterworks and contemporary music. They have performed concerts extensively throughout the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia as part of Apple Hill’s innovative Playing for Peace™ program.
